NMES offers several athletic opportunities for students - boys' basketball, girls' basketball, and cheerleading. Boys' basketball is for students in grades 3-6. Girls' basketball is for students in grades 3-6. Cheerleading is for students in grades 4-6.

Students wishing to participate in athletics must have a sports physical turned into the office before the season begins. Students without a sports physical will not be allowed to try-out, practice, or compete.

Athletic events will be posted to the New Middletown Elementary School Community Calendar.
