Merry Christmas from our Heth-Washington family to yours!

Class Spotlight: Last week, Ms. Ida's 5th graders created Wild West towns. Ms. Ida's students each designed blueprints where they had to measure to find the perimeter and area of their buildings. Students gained some great experience in using blueprints and blending engineering skills with creative real life problem-solving. Students then worked in teams to design and construct miniature towns using Sour Patch Kids as characters (yes some were eaten) coconut as snow, Kit Kats, marshmallows as donkeys, and gumdrops as horses. To bring their creations to life, they wrote imaginative narratives featuring their characters and town stories. Way to go, Wildcats!

Deputy Sailor saved the day! The Grinch tried to steal Christmas at HWES, but Officer Clay apprehended him before he could succeed!

A BIG thank you to Mauckport Community Church for treating our staff to Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck! What a wonderful gift to end our week.
