Students becoming leaders right before our eyes! ✨📚 🤩

HWES students and staff took a few minutes today to get pumped about next week's ILEARN Testing for grades 3-6. While it's difficult to get too excited about a standardized test, all of our students PreK-6th recognize the opportunity to celebrate our Wildcats. We began with reminders of what we can do to put forth our best effort, discussed goals and the building wide incentives we will earn when we reach our benchmarks, and finally we celebrated with the annual Rocks, Paper, Scissors Tournament for our tested grades. Thank you PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade student for cheering on your fellow Wildcats! Congratulations to Ms. Ida's 5th grade class for winning the Tournament and the championship plate!

Today we were joined by nine Harrison County agencies to discuss school safety matters. A big thank you to all the agencies that joined us and everyone's ongoing effort to ensure our students remain safe and protected in our schools!
