Students becoming leaders right before our eyes! ✨📚 🤩

We welcomed several community members into our building this morning for our Career Fair. Students were able to attend three sessions based on their interests. Thank you to those who were able to spend time with us today!

Today we were joined by nine Harrison County agencies to discuss school safety matters. A big thank you to all the agencies that joined us and everyone's ongoing effort to ensure our students remain safe and protected in our schools!

Good morning SHCSC families! Remember, today is an e-learning day. In just a little bit students are expected to be logged into their first Google Meet of the day. If you have any questions, please reach out to your teacher or front office. Have a great day!

It was great to see our Panthers back in the building this week! In addition to great things happening in classrooms, the Harrison Co. Health Department visited and spoke to us about Monday's eclipse and provided students and staff with eclipse safety glasses. The Harrison Co. Visitors' Bureau also spoke to 4th grade classes about tourism in Harrison County. What a week! 🐾🐾

We had some special visitors at CIS today. Ben and Crystal Woods shared their daughter Calla's message to Look Out for the Left Out. The day began with an assembly in the gym, then Team Woods visited each classroom individually throughout the day. Please be sure to ask your students about Calla's message and how they plan to Look Out for the Left Out with open eyes, open hearts, and open hands.

Our 4th grade classes had a visit from the 500Festival Education Program this morning! Students learned about the history & traditions of the Indy 500, careers and economics of IndyCar racing, driver safety, race day flags and the science behind IndyCars. Students also signed an Indianapolis Motor Speedway flag that will be displayed at CIS. What a great opportunity for our students! They are ready for race day!
