This week we wrapped up the first semester! Crazy to think we're half way done with the school year, but we're so thankful for everyone who made it a great one so far. Have a happy & safe winter break!! ⛄

What a great way to begin our Winter Break! Thank you to all of the individuals, churches, and businesses that made it possible to provide gift bags to all HWES students. Each student received shoes, a HWES hoodie, a hat and gloves, a board/card game, 2 on level books, a blanket, candy, and personal hygiene items. Our students and staff are grateful for the generosity of all who donated!

HWES Students and Staff had the honor of celebrating and saluting our Veterans during our Veterans Day Program. Under the leadership of Music Instructor, Sara Burnett, our local heros were treated to a variety of patriotic music, educational passages, and donuts with their Heth Washington student! We appreciate all of our honored guests and their families for helping our students recognize and understand the significance of Veterans Day!

Please remember that tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7, 2023 school is not in session for students as teachers will be participating in professional development.
Please return all RSVPs for the Veterans Day breakfast by Wednesday so we may have an accurate count.

Heth Washington students were treated by one of their fellow students and his family on Friday with a pumpkin to celebrate the harvest season. Thank you to 3rd grade student, Colt, and the Simler Family for continually thinking of HWES students!

Mr. Deatrick has had a busy month, first he was principal for the day and today he became music teacher for the day. We may have a future educator in the making!

5th grade student, Tucker, chose to have lunch with his favorite staff member HWES Librarian, Ms. Adams. Ms. Adams treated Tucker to McDonald's for his special lunch that he bid on at the HWES Fall Festival a few weeks ago.

HWES families please make sure to not let your student(s) out of your vehicle during the morning car rider line until reaching the adults that assist students. We do not want students coming towards the building with other moving vehicles in play. Thank you for helping keep our Wildcats safe!
